E200 - The state of play with the team

"There's so much going on in the world but what I've taken from the podcast is that there are still people who speak with such enthusiasm for the sector and they really are trying to address any wrongs or injustices..."

- Rebecca Lafond

In this episode, we celebrate our 200th episode and explore the current state of play with members of the Charity Chat team including Sam Davies, Rebecca Lafond and Rachel Green.

The passion people have for the charity sector

It's been a privilege to speak to so many charity professionals whilst producing the podcast, who are clearly so passionate and enthusiastic about tackling the injustices and lack of equity we currently face. We've also seen a tech evolution which is enabling us to address climate change and become more efficient as a sector, allowing us to reach more supporters.

What have we learned over the last 199 episodes?

We have learned more about the many roles and organisations that support the sector. There is a lot going on in the world, but there are also many people working on solutions too. More specifically, our guests have helped with our work as fundraisers, sharing key insights into their successes (and failures).

Even though there is so much inequality in our society, we all have the power to make a positive impact and affect small changes which can have real meaning even if it's just to one person or family. This is especially useful to remember when we look at large world events or social issues and challenges that seem so vast and overwhelming.
