“…Now, more than ever, it’s vital to claim Gift Aid to support the causes that need it most” – David Michael
We spoke with David Michael, CEO and Co-founder of SwiftAid to talk about Gift Aid and some important deadlines that are coming up for charities.
1. The Great Gift Aid Hunt
As we approach the end of the tax year in the UK, there is estimated to be over half a billion pounds in unclaimed Gift Aid that could make a huge difference to charities. That’s why SwiftAid have launched the Great Gift Aid Hunt, providing charities with the opportunity to claim as much Gift Aid as they can. The deadline is 26th April so take a moment to think how you could be maximising your Gift Aid claims.
2. External factors
With the cost of living continuing to rise, it’s important that charities can increase their income without putting additional financial strain on their donors.
3. Easy solutions
SwiftAid have come to the market to smartly used their expertise to create a user-friendly, compliant and HMRC-approved system to make it easy for charities to maximise their Gift Aid claims. Remember, it’s much harder to retrospectively claim Gift Aid in subsequent tax years so do what you can now.
