Updated: Mar 7, 2020

"In November 2019, I had the privilege to travel on behalf of Human Relief Foundation with 30 incredible people on my second deployment to Jordan in support of Syrian refugees. We are grateful to Usman and fellow volunteers, Abdul Hamid and Naveed Akhtar, who shared their experience with us. Even with the fear and acute struggles of surviving as a refugee there is an overwhelming feeling of resilience and hope, stories of families forging a future with dignity, and the growing understanding of what it is to live in the shadows of conflict.
